Field Trip: Permission Process
Why do I need to complete the permission process?
Parental permission is required for every field trip that travels more than 2.5 km away from the school. This requirement is in place so that you know where your child is going and can assess the risks yourself prior to giving your permission. The permission process also provides the child with an opportunity to rank the field trips in each session according to preference. There are usually three or four field trips in a session. Since we can't take everyone with us each week, the ranking is used to determine who will be going on each individual field trip. Please take some time to review the field trips in each session with your child, complete the form together and email it promptly to the school.
