Willows Beach

To Willow's Beach by Bike
We will be biking to beautiful Willow's Beach. Once we get there, we will walk along the beach, observe the wildlife, flora and fauna and hopefully catch a peak of life within some tidepools! After lunch, we will gather driftwood, seaweed and other beach material and make beach art/forts on the beach.
Students must come prepared with their lunches, WATER, seasonal clothes, bikes and bike safety skills.
Dallas Road Geological Hike

To Dallas Rd. and Beacon Hill Park by Bike
14 000 years ago this area was covered with ice that was 1 to 2 kilometers deep! This ice made its mark on the land. Learn to read landscape as we walk the beaches of Dallas Road. We will cycle to and from Dallas Road in Beacon Hill Park. On site we will be walking the seashore. Students might go close to deep water. There may be some falling hazards on this walk.

Mystic Vale, Into the Wild Adventure

Now that spring is in the air, we are excited to return to one of our favorite nature destinations alongside the UVic campus, Mystic Vale. After eating lunch, we will engage in a number of awareness activities and games that are geared towards fostering a deeper appreciation of the wilderness.
