We do not judge or grade our learners.

An expense budget is available for each learner.

Our program is free to BC residents of elementary age.

We offer a self-paced program with optional learning activities.

Hands-On Home-Learning Program

Oak and Orca Bioregional School is pleased to offer a program for children learning at home - HANDS-ON HOME-LEARNING FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD. This program is a unique educational opportunity for children learing at home. The program provides an integrated BC curriculum, a bioregional focus with global perspectives, hands-on, child-centred activities, choices for your child, and full teacher support. For B.C. residents, this program is fully funded by grants we receive from the Provincial Government and is delivered at no cost to you (as long as your child is not registered elsewhere.)

Oak and Orca School

Oak and Orca is the parent school of the Hands-On Home-Learning program. Our philosophies, teachers and many of our activities are tried and tested at the school first.  Home-Learners have the benefit of learning at home with the resources of a school behind them.
