Local History Week (June 29th to July 3rd)
During Local History Week students will be engaged in learning about the social and natural history of their surrounding bioregion. This is the first week of our summer program, and will be an opportunity for students to learn new things about how Victoria became what it is today, as well as the social changes that encouraged this transformation.
Tuesday June 30th
Bike Skills at School
For the first Tuesday of our summer program, we will be spending the day working on our bike skills. Because biking field trips will compose a large part of the summer program, it is very important for children to test their biking abilities. This will be an opportunity to discuss biking rules and regulations, as well as arrange a biking order for the children.
Thursday July 2nd
Bussing to the BC Legislature
On Thursday we have an appointment with the British Columbia legislative building! On this field trip we will be given a guided tour through parliament, and may even get a chance to meet with a few characters from BC history. This field trip is always enjoyable, and allows for interesting conversations concerning the role of government.
