Preschool Resource Coordinator
The Preschool Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of a set of preschool curriculum resources for children aged 3½ to 5 years old. A unique preschool program must be planned, organized and set-up in time for start-up in the Fall. The full extent of this job will occur prior to opening the facility (resource coordinator will not be working with preschool children.) Set-up will involve, sorting, organizing, cleaning, painting, repairing and otherwise preparing the space and equipment. This job involves working with and around children. A criminal record check is required.
- Tasks include:
- Preparing a database of environmentally focused learning activities that are experiential in nature and attractive to children.
- Reviewing the legal requirements, health and safety guidelines and best practices for childcare programs.
- Familiarizing self and others with all items in the school's Health and Safety Checklist and ensuring that all health and safety guidelines will be met for childcare programs.
- Planning quality childcare programming will which meet learning objectives defined by a team of educators.
- Research and recommend appropriate educational tools and resources including manipulatives, furniture, etc.
- Setting up the physical facility, including preparing the space, cleaning and organizing equipment, etc.
- Painting, decorating, repairs, landscaping, etc.
