Summer Program

Thank you for your interest in Oak and Orca's Summer Program. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer our unique, nature-based, down-to-earth, bioregional summer programming this year. Please keep us in mind in future as we hope to revive the program in future years. A brief description of our programming remains below.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer our bioregional summer programming this year. Please find a brief summary of our program below for your information as we hope to revive it in future years. Thank you for your interest in Oak and Orca's Summer Program and we hope you have a wonderful July and August.

Oak and Orca Bioregional School's unique Licensed Summer Program provides low-key, nature-based activities, and caters to a range of ages in one multi-age group. In a multi-age program, children collaborate with older/younger children which allows for development of leadership abilities and social-emotional skills.

Spending time outside is a priority. Regular Field Trips by bike, by bus, or on foot, include exploring Victoria's parks and beaches and attending community-based activities that get the children outside and engaged. On non-field-trip days the program hosts a range of child-directed activities including science experiments, arts and crafts, and games.

While the Bioregional Summer Program is not school, we recognize that learning is happening all the time for kids, and days are spent doing child-directed, inquiry-based, and educational play within the context of a supportive community structure.

Oak and Orca will not be offering summer programming this year. Thank you for your interest; we hope you have a wonderful July and August.
